    Am at Dartford A2/m25 and it is sleet. Heading to Halstead and it’s 1.3c and my neighbour just told me it is snow

    Just drove down and up Westerham Hill. At the top, by Shampan, it was coming down heavily, and visibility in full beam headlights was low. About half way down Westerham Hill it became quite sleety, and at the bottom was mostly rain. On the way home, clear at the bottom and all white at the top. Back in Halstead it’s 0.1c, foggy and still snowing lightly. If the skies clear, then it is going to be a mess in the morning, as it is wet out there.

    Snowing, and settling on the pavement straight away. Temp 2.2c but that has dropped rapidly in the last 1 hour from 3.9c. Looking good for an hour or two. Need to head out soon down Westerham Hill.

    And now 0.5c. Going to be a bit messy

    0.7c and snow, but only settling briefly. Kent gritters have tweeted that they will only grit from 4am when precipitation stops washing any salt away, which makes sense. This situation is very marginal, height and temperature wise.

    1.4c and sleet coming down, black dog just went out and came back in with white bits. Scientific.

    1.8c now and definitely sleety. Need more intensity and should be some fun.

    Had to clear a bit of slushy snow off the windscreen this morning. Am at work in London but my Netatmo at home is showing 2.4c, and the CCTV is showing sleety bits. I am also looking forward to this evening.

    -0.2c and snowing hard. Just been out with the dog and across an exposed field, it was brutal, strong winds and horizontal snow. Starting to settle on the roads and already got a similar amount of snow as the recent beast. If this goes on all day, then it could be epic

    First snow flurries of the day here, and -0.9c - definitely see some south westerly movement, but perhaps too late to get any big additional falls.

    now down to -7.8c - coldest since 2010. No new snow flurries so suggests we are under clear skies. How low can we go? double digits?

    Rapid fall of temp! -4.1c to now -5.4c in 30 minutes. This morning, we got down to -6.9c, should beat that comfortably

    Temperature has fallen away quickly, -4.1c - roads are going to be an ice rink in the morning

    Just got home from Heathrow - having flown in from NW Finland this morning. -18c when I left the hotel, -20c at Helsinki airport, and then no snow at all around Heathrow. Snow started to appear around Cobham services, then thankfully just got home as the snow turned to thick Handkerchiefs! If this contiunues we could have some epic depths. Got down to -7.0C this morning, now at -0.5c.

    It's not spectacular, but better than nothing! Now down at 1.8c, surprised at how quick the temp has falled in 30 minutes (from 2.9c).

    Dropped to 2.1c and actually now more snow than rain. Even settling a bit in the heavier bursts

    Down to 2.3c and now more snow in the mix. Thoroughly unpleasant.
