  1. What good weather? Hadn’t been great at all. Cloudy most of yest. Foggy since I got up this morn. Might be ok tomorrow. Back to normal Tuesday.
  2. Is'nt the point of watching each run to comment on that specific run if one would like 2. It does not necessarily mean i take each run as gospel. If you read my previous post you can clearly see that i stated things can obviously change quickly, which would imply that i don't read too much into each individual run. Anyhow i hope we all get what we are craving. Time will tell.
  3. Not happening now Gary according to meto. But no surprise it's been watered down nearer the time. Also the models look absolutely dire in the next couple of weeks if it's cold your after
  4. While we search of a few cm of snow parts of Chicago got walloped by 17.5 inches of the stuff!! Biggest November snowfall in 120 years! O we can only but dream!
  5. Maybe heading this bob barley. Was a bit windy earlier heading to pub with my daughter but nout now. Had a few snow showers which was good to see but not lying. Don't fancy my 9 holes of golf in the morn!!!
  6. Wind warning???? Totally confused by that one so far! Not even a breeze out there!
  7. Good pictures Ronan. I have a sneaky feeling you will see scenes like that again before the winter is out. Winter not done with us yet in spite off what models show currently.
  8. Another let down ronan I would a agree ronan but it never looked likely to me I'm afraid. The next bad news is if this high pressure hangs around for 2 weeks that's another two weeks of winter kissed by and we are then seriously running out of time. However this high if we are lucky could move as quick as it came. Though it's the long shot at the mo. Great if you likely settled cool winter sunshine. Awful if your looking for cold and lively weather.
  9. Aye. Like I said on sat I didn't have much confidence in snow for last night. Unfortunately it came true. Another great snow warning from met office came to nout! Now the chase begins again but looking at models this morn the high is going to be hard to shift but it will move eventually.
  10. Hi ronan. It's an occluded front that is moving in a NW direction basically running from Scotland the whole way down the side of ireland sort of speak. A wide variety of weather can be found along an occlude front hence the poss of rain sleet or snow. Unfortunately some isolated occluded fronts do form once the actual low pressure has decayed and these generally create cloudy conditions with patchy precipitation or showers. So in a nutshell the met office basically thought the low pressure would remain intact over Ireland but it basically decayed leaving several small occluded fronts which are olnly now hitting certain areas hence the complete backtracks in forecasts. It's basically turned out like I thought it would when I said on sat eve I didn't think this would amount to much for mist bar anyone near the west NW. But I hope u get lucky
  11. Watched a bit of Fox News Boston there now. God they get there fair share of snow! I wonder if they ever get sick of it. I would love that choice. Lol
  12. Def better than mild ronan ! I give u that. Though I do like a good storm. Anyway let's be positive and hope some get a bit of snow tonight followed by a high for a few days(no longer) and for the models to pick up on a proper cold onslaught in the days to come ! And the way the models have been I would say its a fair possibility.
  13. Have to say it's the worst northerly I remember in my whole life and I'm 42!
  14. Agree MS. Complete borefest for as long as the eye can see. My worst type of winter weather. Yes it's nice for doing stuff outside but boring none the less. I would have much preferred wet and storms instead of the tripe tahrs coming up next couple of weeks. Our only hope is the charts flip drastically but looks unlikely now. High pressure great in summer but boy now! Still not convinced many will get that much snow either. Just far NW I reckon. And I certainly wouldn't read to much into met office warnings. ! I certainly won't be after there disaster last 3-4 days
  15. I've just seen latest update on bbc national weather and they are showing quite a bit of rain on the graphics for the NW now and the front is struggling to move anywhere. Honestly their updates just change with the wind sort of speak!
  16. Njoy ronan. Looks good for you. Make the most of it because it appears in this country its in swings and roundabouts on who gets snow. The east got clobbered a couple oh years ago while u unfortunately suffered and this year it's the easts turn to miss out on the majority of it while the west and NW gets clobbered. We never ever seem to njoy this all as one! Maybe out of the blue the generally snow starved east will get a full blown easterly orca proper northerly! Not this rubbish
  17. Will prob change BFTB. Only 8 hrs ago east of ulster was to get large accumulations. No we ain't due more than to! Charts and forecasters awfully poor at mo. But hope you do get lucky! That's 2cms that is. Hate this predictive text.
  18. Thank god! Met office have amended warnings reduced chance of snow for most and even mentioned some rain for low lying areas as well!! Music to my ears as it only means one thing! Blizzards and a foot of snow on the way for all! Good man ronan. Glad your having a good winter. Make most of it as a big dirty High bout to dominate for ages by look of it. Golf here I come. Happy days. Long may it continue.
  19. I know weegaz. That's the way the cookie crumbles. I won't worry too much about it. My gripe generally is the way the met office have been firing out met warnings like confetti at a wedding! And to me it's been ridiculous. Even to a novice like me Iv been saying since fri I didn't there would be much snow with this set up! Even for this evening I said days ago I had little confidence in it happening. Along with many others. Yet here they are firing out snow warnings literally every day since fri -weds at one stage and this morn is really the first tiny skiff Iv had! And the most many have probably had. Yes it's snowed but snow warnings likely to cause disruption! I mean come on. Yes I understand they have a duty to warn people but my god they have got it so wrong last 3-4 days! And I'm not the only one with this opinion. Many others on the different regional threads are saying same thing. Of course if they predict rain it's normally 100% accurate ! Ha ha.
  20. Nah won't happen for east pomeroysnow snow. Maybe a light dusting. It's what I expected and thought would happen but a miracle may happen over here in the east. Least high pressure coming in and getting slightly warmer as I can start playing golf again. To be honest I'm getting on the verge of having enough of this pretty snowless winter in the east and am actually verging on the brink of looking forward to spring! Been very poor again this year over here.
  21. You may do ok pomeroysnow tonight but can't see it making that much headway east to be honest. Give me cold zonality any day over this. Everybody has a much better chance. With high pressure so near by it's the scrudge of ruining many a decent snowfall. Bands just don't make it over whole country. But it's great the west are doing so well this winter. Been pretty rubbish one again for the east bar a couple of days.
  22. Yeah west looks def best but rubbish for east again. But like this much of winter. I expect met office to completely change warning if not remove it for east. I just don't get we're they all saw this front making much headway across the country. To me it was never going to happen. Ah well there is always another day.
  23. That's exactly what I said I thought would happen and I said as much yest afternoon and last night. I thought this would be a non event. To be honest I'm not one bit surprised. I couldn't figure it out to be honest. Yes most will see a bit of snow but that's it I reckon and won't amount to much. But again I hope I'm wrong
  24. Make the most of it ronan as I really don't think tomorrow eve-Tuesday morn will amount to much. I can't see the front really reaching us. Baffled by Northern Ireland warning of heavy snow in north and east of Northern Ireland. I honestly think it will fragment and peter out amounting to very little. To me northwest will get worst of it and east very little ! Of course I hope I'm wrong.
  25. I would advise nobody to give. Yes it looks like northern parts may get some snow mon eve-into Tuesday this isn't set in stone in my eyes. I also believe that after a briefly milder section at end of next week ( less cold but still not mild) that the high May change position slightly leading to another northerly shot and possibly better this time. A long way off but it's certainly not without a chance in my eyes. So all is not lost. Northerly possible some time next weekend that is.
