    Since I last checked the met office site its upgraded us from light snow petering out to heavy snow until 11pm. I know the problems with these forecasts but you do have to wonder if we will get another dumping...

    Weird..after 3 inches of nice fluffy stuff tonight giving a lovely thick coating everywhere just had a two minute shower of proper big pellets which smashed their way through the snow so with the outside light on it looks like my nice snow has been machine gunned. Not experienced that before! Not complaining, all good fun.

    Prolonged heavy small flaked snow now, approaching a couple of inches in last hour and a bit. Lovely. Worth staying up I feel!

    Anybody in the triangle, Pete etc? Looking at radars...any thoughts on if the front will make it this far E as it comes down or maybe we miss out if it goes S or SSW? As you said earlier Pete, don't want to be greedy and happy to share Have a good healthy cm outside everywhere still, with a little melt on pavements. Good luck to you all ! All the best

    LIght/mod snow started in Ringsfield, near Beccles, Suffolk. Its settling on grass and paths etc but it is a bit polystyrene like at the mo..appears to be getting heavier.

    I just saw Tomasz Schafernaker on beeb do a forecast...then right at the end as the graphics went away he said in a slightly weird and menacing slow voice and a raised eyebrow 'oh.. and make sure you tune in to the forecast tomorrow' then gave a really obvious wink! Who does he think he is Rob McElwee?! and what will be revealed tomorrow?

    More light wet snow than sleet now. Questioning my own sanity...not sure why I even care on soggy wet ground but I guess I can't help myself!

    Been out for a smoke...sleety mix with the odd snow flake in Ringsfield. Forecast pretty spot on so far. Have to say doesn't feel cold at all though.

    Yes Ed, heard at least three rumbles in Ringsfield although the snow had already fallen about an hour before here. Is snow lying ok in Beccles?

    I am not sure whats going on! Definitely melting on the patio. Was nice proper snow, c 1cm (easily pleased) but now looking a bit slushy. Hoping for more showers to top up then clear skies and cold.

    Uh oh made the mistake of peeking out..slight melt on hard surfaces and dripping from gutter. Going to bed and will pretend that didn't happen.

    I am sorry Reindeer Marmalade I am just excited! If I had believed the met forecast etc I would have gone to bed hours ago. Just goes to show never give up hope. The other half convinced me the rumbles was the boiler! I said only if its about to blow up lol. I don't ever remember hearing thunder with snow before. Looking at the radar wondering if any of those showers can join together... I don't know what I am talking about mind you. I hope you get something soon mother of dragons, maybe one night later this week?

    I have heard three rumbles of thunder in the last ten minutes!...Nothing falling from the sky but snow hasn't melted yet so no complaints.
