1. it wont reach 5-7c here in leeds! if you watched the same forecast on bbc that was for manc, yorkshire northwards will struggle with the temps. to me the forecast got this all wrong! were 145-150 metres jst outside leeds downtown and have had snow since 2am (no wintry mix and slushy deposits) deep snow and this was forecast 300/400m plus!

2. the thaw will be slow the higher you are and 3. i am a rhinos fan and yes it should snow now-this is winter. rugby should start later or play in the cold weather. there big guys remember.

started here as hail- think will turn to rain but still 0.8c. is it uppers again?

and again another drop down to 0.8c with a strong wind. just goes to show how the cold air is trying to push westwards. lets hope we have a suprise snowfall. not too confident after the let dwn back in beginning of jan i think it was.

look on the bright side, atleast with the ground temperatures being so cold the snow has managed to settle without any melt In the rubbish winters we became used to, most days like today would have just produced horrible slush...

true-its just a shame though isnt it. and all the times u look at temp to get to 0c lol and now it is but with rain. hate seeing rain wash away snow.

i am simply amazed! this is twice this has happened now! WHAT A WASTE AND ANNOYANCE. sub zero outside and has been no thaw what soever and as the next area arrives its rain again. the uppers always scupper it dont they! how can it be that much warmer higher up.

We had rain here as far as I can tell, although temperatures were 1.4c at midnight when it was quite heavy. It could easily have been a degree colder and have fallen as very heavy wet snow. I think the Met Office did a decent job given the cicumstances.

a decent job. ARE YOU JOKING. plans were changed yesterday. it was very unproffessional i'm afriad. we were forecast heavy snow here from updated weather warnings at 8.30 and had torrential rain most of night. a disgrace
