  1. Lol! I have moved to the other (poor!) side of town since then but I was in nyewood lane :-) It was the same one that knocked over all those caravans by tesco. I cant believe the extremes we get here, we seem to have had loads of snow over the last ten years and dont even get me started on the flooding!
  2. Aah that was before I lived in Bognor, lulled by all the publicity about it being the sunniest place, within a few days of moving here (in 2000) a tornado went up my road and we had the worst storms I'd ever seen. It's definitely a good place to be a weather watcher! (found the bit where I can add my location, thanks for the prompt!)
  3. I have no plans to go back out there until it is all gone! It was interesting though as it was far more slippy than you would have guessed by looking at it but then the temp was so low, can't remember the last time we went below zero in the day time in Bognor.
  4. I saw gritters up and down the A259 between bognor and chichester a few times today but it was treacherous on the way home, not sure why but I wondered if the wind had blown a lot of the grit back off the road as that stretch is so exposed. Certainly the snow was blowing about a lot. Someone had crashed there and there were lots of people skidding about as it was icing up really badly.
  5. Tiny grains here in Bognor but doing a good job of covering all the old snow and settling in a light layer over the thawed bits. Glad not to be looking out onto grey slush anymore!
  6. had slowed a lot in Bognor with tiny flakes but just pepped back up and falling faster with big chunky flakes now
  7. Over an inch in Bognor now and showing no signs of stopping.
  8. has taken awhile to start settling here in Bognor but finally starting to cover the roads :-)
  9. It's just started in Bognor, hang on in there Brighton guys, it's on it's way!
  10. Woke up to a bit of snow on cars and roofs in Bognor Regis but now coming down properly and has lightly covered the roads and pavements in about 5 minutes. Wasnt expecting any this near the coast (less than half a mile inland), so quite excited now!
