  1. At least the driveway and pavement is looking whiter now, but unfortuantly it seems like the band will soon clear and snow depths won't exceed a cm.
  2. That was a sensational burst of heavy snow which even leftt a light covering on a soaking drive way. If it can keep this up then it's game on.
  3. Heavy snow but it is impossible for it to settle on concrete.
  4. I'm glad to say it has been snowing which has left a covering. Next band looks heavier but no one can be 100% sure of what it will bring.
  5. I'm currently in Bearsden and there is not even a hint of anything wintry. It could be different in Torrance.
  6. The NAE is still looking good for widespread snowfall but the model has performed poorly during this spell.
  7. I can confirm that it has been raining here and surfaces are already soaking - temperature around 2C. Not looking good but after all the let downs of this spell I suppose I'm used to it now and certainly isn't the first odd amber warning from the met office to fail, and it won't be the last.
  8. This pic is one of my favourites from today. You could have mistaken it for it being Nethy Bridge or Grantown on Spey, but no, those hills are less than a mile away from the border of North Lanarkshire, 7 miles from Cumbernauld, 11 miles from Glasgow city centre and 13 miles from Falkirk. There is no place that could offer a view like that within 11 miles of the city centre of London. Some other good pics of Ben Ledi, the Fintry Hills and Dumgoyne. I couldn't see Ben Lomond, the Arrochar Alps nor the Crianlarich hills because of poor visibility. Hopefully it will be even whiter tomorrow.
  9. A gallery of my day out around the Campsie Hills http://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/album/1261-snow-the-campsies-240112/

    Snow - The Campsies - 24/01/12

Pictures of snow on the Campsie Hills and neaby areas towards the end of the cold spell of January 2012.
