  1. Nothing here as yet Anyway The point in trying to make about some of the newer NLC cams that have some really harsh camera settings applied. Massive contrast, which creates higher luminosity and super sharp edges and i think a spoonful of saturation Perfect for showing off obvious Noctilucent Clouds and Aurora, guaranteed a few Likes .... but they also have the ability to transform normal clouds, at certain stages of the night around the twilight times, into looking very much like NLC`s Frustratingly not knowing what to trust. I was looking for a display in mid Russia tonight, to see how my full rotation plan was going, however there clouded out Not trustworthy in my opinion
  2. there might be some Nlc within that, but i will say again a quite season for the northern hemisphere but every other night a huge, very bright display over Moscow up to 30° from where Capella is situated - somethings wrong
  3. Not for me Rob, normal clouds Highly contrasted i`ve been watching the moscow cam for most of the evening on and off,...and there has been normal clouds there all the time the obvious way to prove would be to scroll back in time... But strangely it can`t be done on any of these camera`s ....not even the youtube one`s N twilight has just started nothing yet
  4. Good call for this evening Rob. I`m also hoping for an evening display as i have an early start tomorrow Monday club calls Not really confident in the NOAA plots atm( still unsure what time the images taken).....just the cloud count
  5. Still drying out after yesterdays deluge no doubt I overlook the BBG and have some very rainy footage
  6. I`m already checking the cloud cover for this evening The signals from OSWIN have started earlier than the last full rotation, and are similarly on the 82k height This gave a morning display
  7. Any eyes on the intensifying cells approaching Warwick
  8. In anticipation of tonight's full rotation, I`ll be keeping an eager eye on the radars this afternoon, in the search of regularities in regard to the past rotations Edit; Oh hello Good start OSWIN - Mesosphäre - Forschung - Leibniz-Institut für Atmosphärenphysik, Kühlungsborn WWW.IAP-KBORN.DE
  9. Some structure broke out of the rain ...and my blurry eyes
  10. ....or Russian Noctilucent clouds ( maybe for another forum)
  11. The full rotation which has given sightings over the UK. 7 times out 8 (the 8th time being clouded out), is due again on 9/10 Sun/Mon and again on 10/11 Mon/Tue The fluctuation of the mass of NLC`s transiting the pole may have an effect on this ,to what has been a constant full rotation up to now, needs to be taken into consideration. As well as giant sunspot AR3363 which is currently taking aim, needs to be watched Presently looking like both nights will be clouded out On a secondary note it was good to see that the Bbc Weather watchers have finally recognizes our night clouds
  12. Very faint this morning , double the exposure needed normally
  13. Nothing yet, but awaiting N twilight at 02.50, and looking to the NE were Capella will be At around 20°
  14. Just before the witching hour starts at 2ish... nothing yet Almost to the minute, 9 years ago today - streamed live
  15. Might be a chance of a morning display, with the detection of the NLC`s by the lidar on the Baltic this evening
