Live stream on youtube, storm approaching Eindhoven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ryxicl17Is#t=59798 -
You just nailed it there with your comment "frequent lightning in places", well there was frequent lightning in places, one was here and currently "in places" tracking northwards into Suffolk. The forecasting wasn't poor, it's the nature of the beast I'm afraid. By the way, can you stick your location in your profile please, it helps to know where you are in situations such as we have today,

You should have been here, now that was fun!! -
Well that storm has just rolled on through. 4 lightning strikes, 3cg and 1ic, plus 4 loud rumbles. And while typing the back end of it just produced another cg and thunder
-
Heavy rain here just now, and a long loud rumble!!

That must have been the 23rd of July. A major storm trundled through here heading North at 4am, I got a few video grabs of it below > I like to call this series "Evolution" The storms then carried on for much of the day, I was lucky with this shot below showing a lovely storm passing East of me. at 18:15 The 13/5 this year was also a great day >- 1,246 replies

It's pretty amazing how accurate this is http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en even down to the time delay before a strike is displayed on the map, I'm well impressed!

Heard 2 rumbles just now, passing just to my East

Dark skies, sorry Reports in the convection thread of highly electrical activity heading this way from Kent

Someone's turned the lights off here, I think this one has a sting in its tail, the fat lady hasn't sung yet!
-
A lot of people have reported that in the past, must be air pressure related, in the meantime, very heavy rain passing through here. No T&L yet though.

There has to be something going on locally to me, my AM radio is going nuts, usually that means within a 15 mile radius!

Just a tad further West than expected landfall but you can get a nice idea from this cam of what's coming. http://www.dawlishbeach.com/live/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=18- 1,032 replies

Low level cloud here heading due West, very dark looking with the odd cumulous in view above it heading North Looks like a possible shear set-up, maybe even going to pull the Frenchie further inland over the southern UK!- 1,032 replies
