Could be good for Lancs though BT, a nuclear winter even we'll do well out of that Lol.BIG FLAKES YESSSSSSS.
In other news, I'm not liking the sound of the nuclear plant shutting down. I don't fancy dying today....
-
I'll await tomorrow before I revise my marks for this winter/spring with regards to snow fall, at the moment it's 1/10.
-
A few wet flakes in the wind almost all of our slushy deposit has gone now, next week is looking much better some nice sunshine and frosty nights.
-
Lancashire is again in the dead zone, why did I fall for the hype again. You are subscribed to North West England for Met Office.

Backs up my post perfectly.warnings updated mo

The angle of attack Ian looks good for those in the South of the region only, it may pivot back towards Cumbria but those in Lancashire may find they miss out altogether. We will see as the radar develops but I don't see how A can get to C without passing through B if you follow...
-
Too me it looks like missing large parts of the NW, those in the South of the region will do well, but it appears to be pivoting North Eastwards so the main band of precipitation misses those in the North of the region. We shall see of course. How will it get too far East ?
-
Temp now 2.3c snowing heavly but thawing of lying slush almost complete. Very poor really and I can't see any falls of snow overnight as it looks too me that the main band of precipitation will be too far East.
-
It's been snowing heavily here for the last hour, but all it's doing is thawing the lying slush more.
-
We fall for it every time don't we, the models and MetO promise us snowmageden and we end up with a slushfest. Will we ever learn, Lol.
-
I think I'll close the book on this one for IMBY, for anyone with altitude it's looking good.
-
I think for our area it's looking like the MetO have overplayed the amounts, unless the snow overnight accumulates at an inch an hour then all talk of heavy falls will be pie in the sky for quite a few in the NW.
-
Temp has now climbed up to 1.5c, do we have another damp squib in the making folks.
-
It started snowing here around 3am and as I expected it's been wet snow with a slushy covering of around 2cm. Temp is 1.4c, so until that starts to fall we'll struggle to get a decent cover, at least it's snowing I guess but somehow I can't see those projected amounts coming off unless you live above 300m.

An Irish triangle. That would be the four cornered triangle then
-
How I wish he was, still I await the next bald guy to become the next sacrificial lamb, too take us to the promised land.I wouldn't worry about what Radio Lancs are saying.
They still think big Sam is the Blackburn manager.
-
I think hot is just as bad for farmers and growers and all those working indoors Lol. Personally I would like too see a Summer of contrast, one which brings sunny blue skies and a max temp of 23-25c interspersed with spells off rain and showers, though not too much of the wet stuff as the last five summers have been awful around here. After all the rain we've had even a hot summer it will take some time to dry it out, besides water supplies aren't short so I'm sure they'd be fine this year
-
Anywhere from 10-20cm I would say.How much do you guys think blackburn area will get?
-
There maybe a spell of rain/sleet for a time towards the south of the region prior to it turning back to snow later tomorrow, but I personally think this will remain an all snow event for all of the NW.not yet
-
Well my trusty weather station is now forecasting approaching rainfall, so at least it will reach us, Lol.
-
Temp here 3.2c and is expected too fall to around 1c by 06:00am. Could start off as wet snow for the first few hours before the colder uppers dig South later in the day.
-
Pink is snow Lol.I'm colour blind and can never work out the detail in those NAE charts anyway!!
-
Upgrade for me I'm right inside the heavy stuff, allegedly!Posted here on the Met Office Facebook page 16 minutes ago. https://www.facebook.com/metoffice An upgrade perhaps?
-
I'm already expecting another damp squib around these parts, we will see snow more than likely but if we get anything other than 2cm at best, I'll show my rear end on the Town hall steps!Ha ha, you just know it! our fault...we live here and should move
