It’s Not Just You: The Perseids Really Are Getting Weaker WWW.FORBES.COM It peaks the nights of August 11-12, but it's no longer the year's most reliable meteor shower. about 4am I observed two Persieds this morning.

The Persied meteor shower peaks on the 12-13th August. A full moon will hinder viewing, but a few of the brighter meteors should still be visible. Viewing the Perseid Meteor Shower in 2022 | IMO WWW.IMO.NET For those of you who have written off the Perseids this summer, I beg to differ! Despite the full moon in the sky during the night of maximum activity, meteor rates will still be better than... On the 7th I saw three Persieds, and another six on the morning of the 10th One from 4am on the 7th

I missed them too, I'd given up on NLCs for this year. All these discussions and the resources that were mined, and used to assemble and power electronic devices used to post the discussions, are creating more CO2, and habitat distruction. I've just added more CO2 by posting this.

I remember reading about that in Weather magazine or Journal of meteorology. The was a squall with hail that damaged some buildings too. I can't see anything like that happening with this heatwave, there's not enough moisture available. -

Convective Weather WWW.CONVECTIVEWEATHER.CO.UK Forecasting thunderstorms and severe convective weather across the British Isles and Ireland for up to the next 5 days. Day 1 Convective Outlook: Sat 16 Jul 2022 Day 1 Convective Outlook VALID 06:00 UTC Sat 16 Jul 2022 - 05:59 UTC Sun 17 Jul 2022 ISSUED 11:29 UTC Sat 16 Jul 2022 ISSUED BY: Dan While the risk is very low in any one location, a stout EML will advect northeastwards through Saturday evening and night across the Irish Sea and adjacent portions of Britain and Ireland. Gradual moistening of the mid-upper troposphere above this EML in the vicinity of a subtle shortwave cresting the northern periphery of the western Europe ridge may be sufficient to generate some very high-based convection during the overnight period, and hence a low risk of a few lightning strikes. The risk (albeit very low) appears greatest in the northern half of the LOW threat area. -
Yeah the moon will be up about 1.30am I used stellarium on my phone to get an idea ware to point my camera, I used the star Vega as a reference point. Quite lucky as ten minutes later the comet shifted behind shrubs. It's just a grab n go shot might try again when the moon is out the way.
-
A quick shot converted in camera to lpg, and taken from the garden using Pentax K70 + Tamron 90mm macro lens. The moon was up and a few thin clouds around. I found the comet with luck using the star Vega as a reference. The comet is right of the star cluster M10 can you spot it? 20 seconds f3.2 ISO 3200

Autumn 2022 - Moans, Ramps & Chat
Sprites replied to Seasonal Trim's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
I would prefer Autumnal weather, with Autumn like conditions. Not similar too Winter or Summer. Conditions that are more akin to October than June. Temperatures around 18CC with High pressure, interspersed with low pressure. Showery days and a few dry days. Autumn colours and misty mornings like the ones you can get in Autumn. -
Any eggs or bacon?
