  1. Lt. Dan how far inland though? Probably west of London. Fen Wolf Yes it's possible if it reaches G4.
  2. Lt. Dan I use windy app but haven't checked cloud cover yet. Drive inland?
  3. Lt. Dan North Sea fractus https://www.spaceweather.com/
  4. ChannelThunder Channel Thunder Of course the models show a plume event on Sunday night, the one night I'm away in London for a gig! Very predictable!
  5. ChannelThunder Shania Twain is coming again in September
  6. WeatherArc Thanks for the detailed reply Those " high risk" days can create too many adjacent storms as you say. BTW was your username "weather09" before? I may of mixed you up with another member from Brum.
  7. WeatherArc Your post about most of the storms yesterday (Monday) thankfully not reaching their potential. One reason mentioned was dry air aloft, I thought dry air aloft would help lapse rates, as dry air cools faster than moist air. Or was the dry air creating stronger downdrafts with evaporative cooling, cutting off inflow?
  8. Jamie M Not heard of starvisor, just had a look, lot of clear skies and some Aurora over Russia now.
  9. Jamie M Oops I thought there were two funnels in that pic, it's one long one.
  10. Jamie M Off topic Saw your Aurora photos from yesterday, clouded out here though. 30 miles north of me had some clear skies
  11. Cloud here , but several places getting Aurora photos, Yorkshire and Norfolk.
  12. Josh Rubio If the cloud breaks up early then should be some thundery showers along the CZ.
  13. Derecho The energy those storms are using is from higher in the atmosphere away from the cold north Sea. The surface conditions will have little or no effect on the storms.
  14. Seems like the North York Moors has helped a storm fire.
  15. weatherobsuk Yeah that's quite a lot of hours driving quieter roads at that time too. A few more storms for northern areas today. good luck if you out today.
