just a quick note to everyone that may be hit with this white stuff.. if you have a neighbour that is old or vulnerable check them out .. as i was walking down to my local horse meat supplyer(tesco) when a old gent asked me to help him as his boiler was not working .. as i went in to his house it was bitter cold with no heating what so ever.. lucky i managed to restart his boiler and get him and his wife warmed up .. i know it is a exciteing time to all snow and ice lovers out there..but for the old and vulnerable it could be life or death (esp with gov cutbacks)... so i ask you all to take 5 mins of your time and just check on those who will need help in this cold snap.. just a thought andy -

Isn't It Strange How Storms Don't Wake Us Up?
Andy Pepler replied to Methuselah's topic in Storms & Severe Weather
remember the storms of the 80,s to mid 90,s lasted for hours took power and phones out..i can remember going 2oh poop oh poop oh poop" because i had a 30 foot antenna on top of the house ) .. what happend ..the power of the lightning aswell seamed stronger.. but try camping under the june 2005 mcs that hit glastonbury .. thunder so loud it sounded like 15 chavs with bats killing a wheely bin..lightning zipping above you ..watching most of the stages getting hit ..then the pennards flood...that was my last big storm...sigh -
