Set off to drive to Bamburgh this morning from Newcastle decided to turn round at Stannington as conditions were not good - heavy snow and almost down to one lane - spoke to my friend who I was meant to meet who was driving back to Durham said between Beadnell and A1 number of cars in ditch, and A1 from Ellingham down to Felton was down to one lane where dual carriageway. Good covering in Newcastle but showers seem to be passing to the north at the moment

Very wet and very windy at Beadnell - no snow though !

Some beefy showers and very gusty winds up at Beadnell this evening.

Took until 2:30 to clear properly today at Beadnell, 5 miles up road at Bamburgh cloud had cleared by 11:30

Mist just rolled in at Beadnell

Day of contrasts. Left Beadnell at 1:45 sunny but only 13.5 degrees, wind was onshore from south east, drove one mile inland car showing 21 degrees and then 25 degrees when I arrived back in Newcastle.
