Yh mate and even this system is moving much slower than expected the back edge is still in Manchester. And streamers are already showing themselves for later.
I'm surprised the streamers seem to be setting up so early if we can catch the bullseye with some of these a few could have a surprise

Not amounting to much but at least it's snowing still. Conditions should be perfect later if showers form

Rain has got quite a bit heavier here just now.
It's got that look about it...that it wants to turn. Do you know what I mean? Does anyone else see it when we have marginal or rain to snow events? Or am I talking nonsense?
lol I'll tell you in a bit on way from wolves to Dudley

18z euro 4 looks good still for 10-15cm for peak district over next 36hrs.....
Just seen it a good run for the more mid to north midlands. Looks like a streamer from early Friday then a band of heavy precipitation after. Interesting

Just one thing to mention before i go and retire, out of the 20 en's GEFS members, 14 of them have the snow pretty much across the Midlands for pm tomorrow.
As the BBC weather said "this rain to snow event even at this stage is being very elusive".....Just food for thought....if the professionals are have problems,,,,,WHO KNOWS
Yes still up in the air might wait for the euro 4

We will all be glued to the skies tomorrow and into the early hours. Who knows what will happen. The balmy met office app has me down for seven hours of heavy snow. Mmm as long as I see a few flakes I'm happy

Can the ecm really be wrong at this timeframe? Great viewing

I think we're at the wait and see stage now. Never really been optimistic about our chances here and remain that way. The last 4 years have bought me back to Earth a bit. Had this been January 2014, would have been all over this one and very optimistic....but had a very harsh lesson since then! No bad thing I suppose...
Yep Gord not expecting alot im just a little interested in how far north the band gets also maybe a chesire streamer could bring a few surprises. Edit the metoffice weather icon thingy me bob is rubbish has me down for 6 hours heavy snow and 3 hours of light snow

Was difficult to see.
That quite a change from is other tweet. Is that perhaps due to main band moving more notthwards?
