  1. This is a fantastic series, especially the El Reno episode. Excellent work!
  2. Hi Christine, good to have you on board! I have chased in the USA twice, in 2011 and 2012. These events are always a great laugh and well worth the effort - last year in Birmingham a few of us we ended up in the casino after a night at an 80s disco! And the Travelodge bar had to kick us out early hours of the morning.... Really looking forward to another super weekend! PS I see you guys are heading up from Fareham. I will be travelling up from London by train - an extra travel buddy if you want one!
  3. Excellent work Nick, a thoroughly comprehensive guide. Thank you
  4. What a sad day for the world of storm chasing. These guys had so much passion for their subject and continually pushed forward the frontiers of meteorology, trying to understand in ever increasing detail how these storms develop and thereby improve warnings for the public. My thoughts go out to their family and friends, and those that chased alongside them - a wealth of knowledge and experience has been lost. RIP
  5. Nice work there on the vid Graham, great memories!

  9. Hi everyone. My name is Kris, I'm 29 years old and I now live in Wallington, Surrey. I have been using this site for a long time so I'm getting more involved. I am a Civil Servant by day but by night I think about my passions, one of which is the weather (quelle surprise!). All types really - the snow this year was incredible by any standards and it made me feel like a little nipper all over again! I'm not as knowledgeable as some members on here, but I love gaining new knowledge and you guys know what you're talking about! I'm trying to get to grips with interpreting the charts all the time....I'll get there I'm sure (patience!) The main reason I am posting is that I simply cannot contain my EXCITEMENT at having booked a place on one of the Storm Chase tours next year!! It's something that I have wanted to do for a long time and I just love the adrenaline rush that storms give me. I want to learn more about weather photography, as I'd like to try and get some decent shots next year - hopefully can get some tips from you guys. Anyway, I'm happy to be part of the forum and hope for good times ahead for all. Kris
