Yep same here ??. What snow we had yesterday was whipped up into a frenzy and blown off. Some build up around hedges etc but not much lying at all. Bald patches in places. Still, I will remember the blizzard conditions and not look back on this being another totally rubbish winter.
I went to Canada in 1998 6 months after a severe ice storm, the land was devastated. Mile upon mile of trees broken in half, power pylons still down with temporary fixes, sign posts down etc, wildlife lost. Very sad.
It's blowing an absolute hoolie here and constant snow since 12.30. Quite spectacular but hardly any lying snow, it's getting blown away. Where does it all go I wonder? ??
Just woken so haven't ventured outside yet but we have light snow, not enough for a covering yet but only a very light breeze. Like you guys I've been waiting with the hope of a day like today for years. Let's hope some dreams come true.
2 happy teenagers in my house tonight. They got sent home from school before lunch today and have just found out school is closed tomorrow. Food cupboards full, kids happy, hubby working from home, plenty of gin and beer. Bring it on ❄❄❄
I'm loving these reports from the south coast. Nothing here where I am but at least some of you snow starved people are getting something, however feel free to share ??
Glad to see the Cornish contingency is finally getting a bit of snow, assuming that's what you're wishing for of course. Hope this is just the Beginning for you.
Well let's hope the next few days work out well for you. Best take some photos if you get any more sprinkles. It could be years before we see it again ❄?❄?
It'd be fantastic for us, hubby and I are both off for the day so that's great, but it would be even more amazing for Plymouth and JJ ( and my brother) in Torpoint, they very rarely see snow. ??
