It’s not even windy here or raining at the moment!

I want to take my grandson Xmas tree, and snow, hunting in kent this afternoon so hope it does snow again.

Snowing again in Lee Green/Lewisham

I just got back home after a 5 hr drive from Cheltenham. Heavy snow from 5.30 am and I saw many cars and lorries stranded and skidding all over the place. I’m in a 4x4 so had no problems but even the norther section of the M25 became closed at times with cars and lorries stuck on inclines. Treacherous driving conditions but all rain south of the Thames so any snow seems to have gone now.

I’m just about to drive from Cheltenham back home to Lewisham but All I can see is rain everywhere on route. Is the rain supposed to turn to snow over a larger area ? If it’s going to rain all day i’ll Drive back later.

I’m driving back from Cheltenham to Lewisham tomorrow morning so it looks like a fun trip. Can’t decide if I will be snowed in or blown away in the wind. Joking aside I may have to be careful.

I have to drive to Cheltenham early Saturday and back again Sunday afternoon! Looks like a good chance I could get snowed in somewhere. Perhaps I shouldn’t go?

Good to see Yamkin back again. Always used to give advance notice of gritters going out! As for good old JohnPike - he set up his own website forum but I think Yamkin may know more?

I thought any snow on Thursday or Friday would be confined to far South East corner of Kent.

It's trying hard but its swizzle here in Lee Green. Aren't the temps meant to rise this afternoon so this will be about as good as it gets. Today I guess.

Forecast today states that for Kent areas with elevation will have snow so Wrotham and Baffin Hill should get something. Can anyone near these locations confirm or otherwise as my Grandson wants to see his first snow as I promised I would show him some! I'm in big trouble if I don't find some......keep the reports coming in.

" Nothing here in Lee Green fog wise but a deep freeze on all the cars outside and the pavements. Looks distinctly uninviting.

Visiting my daughter in Cheltenham tonight and forecast is -3c but will feel like -7c overnight and it feels like it as well. What sit like back in Lee Green where I live? Plus I've just seen the time and I am now officially a pensioner as reached that age but not sure `I feel like it. Happy birthday me!

Its trying to sleet here but its a lost cause as too warm. So we have half sleet - whatever that is called.

Light snizzle in Greenwich Park and very gusty wind. Dog loves it though.

Not a flake so far in S.E. London

I took my dog to Shooters Hill which you might already know is one of the higher points on the London/ Kent border. It felt a bit dangerous ion the woods as I could see freshly fallen, large, branches which would have done some damage to my head! Nobody else around so I got out of the woods into open ground and at times it was difficult to stand still in the gusts. Even so, I don't think I've felt or seen anything particularly bad as yet but its the sustained wind and gusts over a period of time that seems to cause damage to already weakened trees.

Squall line just went through here. Lasted about 2 minutes and was insane.

Just started snowing in Lewisham and getting slightly heavier .......no wait .....it stopped after 40 seconds..

Just clumpy drizzle in SE 12. Maybe a few flakes later but who knows. I'm not going to have a heart attack over it.......Oh! Ooooooops...too late..............feel better now but still no snow and so the cycle goes on.

Model Output thread has gone ballistic over latest charts. Expect a huge rise in members logging on for the great will it won't it debate over the next week. Looking good though.
