  1. Forecast temps are slowly dropping for Saturday and Sunday as we get closer. Positive signs!
  2. Very cold today. Caught me by surprise as I haven’t been keeping up with the forecast lately. Another notable factor is how calm it is, not a breath of wind. Been looking into the garden for a good 10 minutes (avoiding work) and, apart from the odd wren and black bird, not a thing has moved.
  3. Looking towards the mountain, we have a dusting at around 300m here. Bit disappointing, although the forecast was for sleet. Looks like they had it spot on.
  4. It’s snowing! Quite heavy. Not forecast.
  5. Aye. It looks like a bust. Just can’t see the heavy stuff getting here. Expecting no more than a dusting. Thats got to be up there with one of the biggest disappointments
  6. Cheers for the posts Tipster. Great to see some new graphics and details in the thread.
  7. this thread has been going on since bonfire night 2016. Maybe a nice fresh one with the possibility of a bit of winter on the horizon
  8. 3c and hammering down, doesn’t get much worse.
  9. Wave clouds? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave_cloud
  10. i think that's it is for us here. 3-4 inches. Not bad
  11. aye. Come on. Whether you rate him as a forecaster or not, he seems a pretty decent guy. Time to move on. we have far more positive/interesting things to discuss.
  12. I've been thinking exactly the same about summers following a late SSW. As you mentioned, 2013 was a great summer. 10 days down Llangennith in July. Wall to wall sunshine. Awesome it was. Gower power went down a treat
  13. I was wondering the same thing. Huge drifts here but on the west facing/sheltered sides of roads and lanes. found this on internet https://www.quora.com/Why-does-snow-build-up-on-the-opposite-side-of-the-car-the-wind-is-blowing-on
