Now do I go out for my 2nd chase of the night to my favoured spot overlooking the Estuary looking south ?? Or bed it and watch it land ?
You won't want to miss this, truly something remarkable!

Starting to die down in Hove. What. A. Show. If you're anywhere North East of here, hold on to your hats.....
Oh and severe flooding is an absolute gimme, haven't seen anything like this in years!

Hove here. Words can't describe the scenes down here. Apocalyptic is the only word that springs to mind. Those of you anywhere NE of Brighton, it's coming your way. Once in a lifetime storm this.

Help us amateurs out will you, Steve!

3-4 inches here in Haywards Heath. Exactly what was predicted, I'll take that.
Now on to Sunday....

And I'm just around the corner in the priory :-)
Priory Way here! (Although I'm Western Road end!)
-
Down by One Stop on the Northlands wood estate.
Thanks not too far away from me. Near Texaco in Franklynn Road here.

Great link Mark. Where abouts roughly are you in HH?
-
Snow showers incoming from the West will be light to slightly heavy
There seems to be little to no mention of it though?

Nice upgrade from the 06z

Reason I ask the above is because some are suggesting tomorrows runs will shift it back west and for Friday we could remain cold and dry, I don't see it personally.
That would have to be one almighty shift West for our region to miss out!

Pretty much stopped here in Mid Sussex. Just a dusting here.
-
Can confirm it is snowing in Mid Sussex.
-
About 10cm here in Haywards Heath.
-
Anyone with a non screwy radar able to fill us in on where the precip is?
-
I have been waiting all night for this, but I can officially declare the snowfall as heavy!
Send some of that this way will you!
-
Snowing heavily here in Mid Sussex. Proabably 2-3 inches looking at it.

Right just thought I'd say something interesting.
Thus far locally the NMM has been SPOT on here, we are pretty much at a 1:10 ratio here. The NMM suggests precip accumulation of 3mm from 9-11pm which matches 3cms we have here.
What this means is that we can probably safely assume the NMM has a very good grip on the sitaution. Where it gets interesting is the model strengthens the precip over much of the SE between 12-2am and as a result relaly beefs up the total falling snow. The model now goes for 12-15cms pretty much across the whole region, some areas may well be pushing even higher ratios than what I have...which will lead to higher amounts as well...
Is there a link for this info? Thanks.

Light dusting in Haywards Heath.

Good news for Kent/EA in the 18z run by the looks of it so far. About a 50 mile shift to the East.
-
The precipitation still appears to be coming over at a good pace, and doesn't appear to be losing any intensity.
Should I be getting my hopes up?

Will the precipitation leaving Holland give any meaningful accumulations to us in the SE later?
