  1. Yep, i dont think we could have done any worse out of this Storms wise, you wouldnt even know Storms were about. Somehow they seem to be North, South, East and West of Wales and Wales is like the eye of the storm. Should be used to it but am always left disappointed, you cant help but hope before it all happens :(

  2. So this Winter the west of us has been pasted with snow and now the east of us. It started off well last night but then it quickly changed to rain leaving a messy slush that knowone wants. Has to be one of the worst places in Wales to live if your looking for any type of winter weather. For us here in the Colwyn Bay area 2010 is miles ahead of any other winter as we actually had a decent snow fall, damn they are rare :(

  3. There is never any detailed info on north Wales, most of the time when someone is talking about weather in Wales they mean the south. I'm really hoping we get some this time though, I'd be happy with just an inch or two of lying snow!

Indeed, if we got a couple of inches i would be more than happy, would just be nice to see heavy snow falling for an hour for once rather than the really light snow we tend to get that can never settle

  4. Just a quick question. How come people are saying its great for North Wales (unless they mean NE wales) atm when looking at those charts above i just see rain and light snow at best. I will eat my hat if we got anything good out of this considering how disappointed we normally are around here, of course i hope im wrong. Maybe if we pray hard enough Sion it will eventually happen smile.png

  5. Pleased that some in North Wales who prevoiusly missed out are enjoying some snow.

The usual suspects had rain like always though, joke of a place to live up here if your looking for snow. Whilst it has been cold enough for snow we had little precipitation but as soon as is started to warm up yesterday we had bucket loads of it as rain. TBH i think its the final nail in the coffin and i just wont bother looking at models etc, if it snows it snows but its so rare here its just not worth getting your hopes up over which i did a week last friday and they were swiftly destroyed. Makes it far worse when you see just how much snow falls in most of wales, even bloody Anglesey had it, now that really takes the biscuit

  6. Been here before. I don't pay much attention to models for the reason as to whats happened the last few days. Waking up on the day of 'impact' to find out 'nailed on snow' for my location was never going to come was dissappointing beyond belief.

I have'nt visited the models thread for 48 hours just reading this board to see how others in the nw are doing. I'm not watching the news either. Thats a lesson I sure have learnt.

    Another $hit winter.

Thats how i feel haha, i know this is the NW thread but that sums up my feelings after 99% of wales get plastered by snow and either side of us yet we manage a measley 1cm. Think i will just give up from now on even looking to see if we will get any, if we do in the future then its a bonus. Checking just builds my expectations too much and 99% of the time they are crushed, plus you look an idiot after you tell people get ready for some serious snow and then struggle to produce even a flake haha

  7. Still snowing a gd foot on the grass here with two foot drifts on some of walls sp haaaaapy :-)

Its mental that you have that much and we have sod all, i have never been so disappointed in an event, i expected we wouldnt get much but what they were forecasting for days this is just a right smack in the face. Your one side of the mountains and we're the other, you get a foot of snow, we have 1 cm, lovely stuff, the snow shield has never been so effective
