So pressure has finally risen, in weather terms this means more sunshine and hot days (in summer) in Winter high pressure usually brings cold, crisp days with mist and fg and sometimes cloud (also known as cyclonic gloom)

Sadly, for myself and quite a few other year 12's and year 13's pressure is rising to results day. With university tuition fees rising it is a minefield for students, who after coming out of univeristy could have a £40,000 debt to be paid off within their life time.

I am extremely nervous about my results, mainly because of the thought of not getting into year 13 and also because I don't want to be resitting when I have a UCAS form to fill out (which will require rather a lot of my time)

So there we are I am getting my fingers crossed for hopefully some average or good results...

Wish me luck

So today is the last day of Spring! and what Spring it has been! Wet, Warm, Wet and Warm again! What amazes me is how quick things change in the spring. At 6am in March wake up to little sunlight, at 6am in May you wake up to rays of sunshine!
The leaves explode with colour with green standing out and the glorious sound of the leaves swaying against each other! It has been a spring to remember!

Now we move on into another chapter! The amazing, fantastically weird and wonderful British Summer! The best part about it.....we don't know what to expect! Oh how exciting!

I always picture the seasons as chapters, and as we reach the end of this chapter (Spring)....we start another in hope of it being more gripping and exciting than the last!

I could not think of anything more relevant than the quote that follows that symbolises the connection between rain and weekends

"There is little chance that meteorologists can solve the mysteries of weather until they gain an understanding of the mutual attraction of rain and weekends." ~Arnot Sheppard

I shall write again in June with another famously brilliant quote

See you,

So then, Spring, the majority of the nations favorite season (I think!) it brings out the new insects, new leaves its all NEW NEW NEW! . We all have a secret love for spring, mainly becuase of all the new things and the house martins come back. But what I love about spring is the trees. I am a weather-lore lover, and I have been looking at the trees in my garden and going by the olde saying:-

Oak before Ash we will have a splash
Ash before Oak we will have a soak

There's just something about that saying that really interests me. I know its only a weather saying but hopefully we will get some form of heatwave and not 2 days of heat and rain. I have seen alot more insects than last year and those of you who follow the forum will know that I am quite interested in keeping bee's (ingenious creatures!). But that is still something that is being discussed with the parents!

Anyway, Now armed with my two monitors (one for radar watching and one for communicating in severe weather events) I am ready for anything...so on that note....
