A really enjoyable days chasing today with Thunderstorms most of the day from 2pm. Had lunch in Flagstaff and then mooched down to a favourite little viewpoint in Sedona to watch a Monsoon storm at a range of about 10-12 miles to our West. After that is was all about keeping a favourable position close to an active cell during the Arizona magic hour of 645pm to 745pm when th pinks, purples and mauve colours come into play. The others have got some incredible shots of this Storm and I only got a few decent ones but here is a sample from just North of Prescott. Also got some great Sunset Pictures with Cactus in the foreground. Looks like today (25th) is another active day to our North near the Mogollan Rim so hoping for more great Storms. - Discrete Monsoon Storm North of Prescott (Az) - End of the day near a typical Arizona Cactus Field

Roll call everyone ! is anyone still here? ... who got a storm today then ? I got one and am sooo pleased. even had a close thunderbolt. So happy I finally got a storm after 7 whole years.

Interesting to note the bbc mentioned the prospects of record low sea ice cover in the coming days.. certainly something to watch. The immediate outlook does show a marked cooling though over the poles, with lower heights as opposed to high pressure which could deliver some decent snowfalls as we start September and help to bring SST's down.

no storms here today just rain bummer. I was hoping for one but no. We have not had a good storm where i live for so long i have forgotten what they are like. A few rumbles and flashes is not a storm in my book and i didn't have any of that today either.

OMFG even you got a storm today!! Very pleased for you Jane you have waited long enough!!! Nothing happened in bedford today, again, i think its been atleast 5 years without a proper thunderstorm here :S
