Sleeeeeeepppp....

Roo

Well after spending most of yesterday cat napping, little ellen finally decided to sleep last night for 3 hours each time before she wanted a feed, which gave me a chance to catch some proper zzzzzzzzz's. Mr Roo went into London today to pick up some work stuff for me, so I spent several hours this morning doing that which was rather nice: it's good to have something to take my mind off the worries and joys of being a mum: it's like my mum said.... every single thing to do with having a child is a learning experience which is nerve wracking until you get to know what is normal and what is not....

Ellie has been easier than most, I suspect, as she has been so friendly and calm, and quick to learn, but I have to admit, it's all still been very weird....It also helped a lot that her birth was such a great experience....just me, Mr Roo and three midwives and a big tub of hot water....no meds, no stitches, no grief and a lot of calmness :(:(

My midwife keeps asking when we're planning on having the next one......she'll be lucky!:D:D

When's the next one  ;)

I hope Mr Roo took a tape recorder into the hospital to record you saying "never again" :D

It always astounds me how fast nature makes a mother forget the experience of Childbirth :whistling:

I'm starting to think "OK, this baby is going to have to come out one way or another"

Poor old Mr Roo also had the joy of hearing me say: 'I can't do this, I really can't', in my most pathetic little whimper. He resisted the urge to tell me that it might be a bit late for that kind of comment......
