Grand National Festival - Dry and warming up

Looking good for the 3 day festival, no rain. Ladies Day will still be a bit chilly but Saturday is looking warm and sunny.

No severe weather in the forecast for the 2017 Grand National festival at Aintree, not even any significant rain. High pressure is bringing a lot of fair, steady weather. It’s mainly dry and bright. There is low cloud coming and going from the Irish Sea and under the cloud or in the breeze it will still feel cool. A shift to sunnier weather by Saturday and in any sunshine it feel warmer in sheltered spots and UV levels are creeping up.

Grand National Race – Dry, sunny, light southerly wind. Warm at around 17C. No significant rainfall between now and Saturday afternoon.

Today/ Opening Day- Cloudy and cool. It should be dry today, although at times the cloud cover will make it feel a bit damp in the air.  The very light westerly wind will pick up today to a moderate NW wind, making it feel even cooler for spectators this afternoon.

Friday / Ladies Day- Similar with cloudy skies, bright and fair but with lights winds all day. There might be a light shower in the morning but for the main part the day will be dry. Still feeling a bit chilly

Saturday – Glorious conditions for Saturday with a southerly breeze bringing warmer air across the UK.  It will be sunny, dry with a top temperature of 18C, a really lovely spring day. No rain.

Seems Thunder and Roses is the only weather-y name in the National list (around 40/1). Outlook for Aintree here
