If you were hoping it would be hot enough to melt your chocolate eggs over the Easter weekend, look away now, plenty of wet and windy weather to come first though, in an unsettled, blustery spell to mark the first week of the Easter break.
It's the first week of the Easter Holidays for many as the schools break up today, so how is the weather shaping up for the next week as we head toward the long Easter Weekend? Michael Fish has the answers in his regular video update, as a clue, the jet stream is up to it's old tricks and aiming straight at us.
Tradition would have it that the sun should shine for the week before the Bank Holidays before rain arrives for the weekend, but this time it looks like being the other way round, with plenty of unsettled, blustery weather over the next few days before high pressure calms things down for Easter. It's not going to be a record breaker though, in fact it'll be quite chilly at night and close to average during the day.
So be ready for gales and bands of rain sweeping accross the UK to start the two week break, and maybe have a look at the Days Out Forecasts to see what your options are for keeping the kids amused and off the computer games (as if mine will be prised away from his on rainy days...)
