First the good news, the risk of widespread rain for England & Wales on Sunday has lessened, with the main area for heavy showers and rain being kept further south - good news for BTCC at Donington Park, not so good for BSB at Brands Hatch...
BSB first, and though it'll be feeling chillier on Friday and Saturday than we've seen this week, it should remain dry and quite bright, but a northerly breeze will mean spectators should take some warm clothing as max temperatures will struggle to reach the low teens. Another chilly night tonight for campers with a possibly frost, and and early risers (or late to bedders) will feel the bite of the northerly breeze too. Overnight Saturday into Sunday morning is when the change will arrive, with low pressure arriving from the contintent bringing rain with it - some of it heavy at times, along with a slight risk of storms. The whole of Sunday looks like being affected by showers, light patchy rain and intermittent dry spells, temperatures will limp in to the low teens but a northeasterly breeze will make it feel a bit chillier. All in all not a great day for Qualifying and racing in other classes. Monday should see things improve, with brighter spells, patchy light showers (and they may miss the circuit altogether) and lighter south easterly winds, and the temperature will feel much milder at 14c, losing the northerly breeze will be the bonus for spectators.
Forecast rain totals Easter Sunday
BTCC from Donington Park has a similar story for Saturday which will feel fresh (temps in the low teens) in the northeasterly breeze but remain dry and bright, Sunday will see more in the way of cloud, possibly some patchy showers later in the day. There's also a stiff northeasterly breeze, gusting to over 30mph at times, which will make it feel chillier than the 15-16c showing on the thermometer.
