Notes on the precipitation overlays / image quality
The precipitation overlays are a software representation of the precipitation based on cloud top heights and temperatures. It is not an exact representation of precipitation areas and rates but we have found it to be accurate in most situations.
Satellite passes will vary in quality dependant on the proximity of the satellite passing overhead, this is normal for this type of system.
