A mixed weekend of UK weather coming up. Where's the risk of rain and highest temperatures?

A quick look at where the rain and showers are most likely this weekend and what's happening with our UK temperatures after a topsy turvy week.

With several days of sunshine, dry weather, blue skies and for many, spring warmth you may have been considering outdoor plans for this weekend. The weather is turning more unsettled, with some rain and temperature changes but it's not bad overall. Just not as reliable and steady.

Weekend rain

More cloud and rain from the North Sea, heading west over Scotland. A scattering of showers elsewhere on Saturday

Sunday, will bring some heavier showers, even risk of thunderstorms in the far south. Still many areas missing these

Temperatures- not as warm for Scotland and NW England, after highs this week into the low/mid 20sC.

Some recovery for SE after quite a cool breeze. Temperatures will creep up to high teens and low twenties and it will feel warmer. Overall winds will be light just more of a cool NW wind during Sunday for Northern Ireland.

Moderate UV values, remember UV can get through the clouds. Low pollen levels as the oak pollen levels subside and the grass pollen hasn't quite got going in earnest yet. In some of the sunnier, warm spells the pollen levels will rise to moderate.

Air pollution levels are low but will rise again on Sunday in southern England, as air quality decreases.

Will it rain?

Have a great weekend.
