A look at the wind and weather forecast for this weekend for Beach Vibes Land sailing event at Pembrey
This weekend is Beach Vibes at Pembrey Beach. It is run by members of Carmarthenshire Land Sailing Club (CLSC) for the land sailing communities, be that Kite Buggies, Land Boarding, BloKarts, X-Sails or Mini Land Yachts. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this event.
The winds are looking fair but the weather a bit mixed. There are the onshore SW winds throughout the weekend. Low pressure will move across the UK bringing Saturday showers, more cloud and a cooler feel to the weather. Bit of a shame after the glorious conditions Wales has been seeing in the long-lived easterly flow. All change this week after StormHector but Sunday looks better.
For those camping Friday night - Dry, cloudy with a light to moderate SW wind. Temperatures around 13C
Saturday - There is the risk of showers during the day. Don't despair if your weather app is showing "rain" all day. There looks to be a spell of hefty showers and then brighter and drier weather. Hopefully, the thunderstorm risk will be away from Pembrey but worth keeping an eye on the Netweather radar for showers and lightning strike observation data. The SW winds look moderate, fresh as the heavier showers go through with higher gusts. Air temperatures will be around 14C but it will feel cooler in the wind.
Sunday - Looks better weather wise, warmer with sunny spells appearing. The winds will veer to the west or even NW and be light to moderate without the sudden gusts. By the afternoon temperatures could reach 17C without the showers.
