Looking warm and sunny for the EURO 2020 quarter finals

At the venues, the weather for the quarter-finals is looking warm and sunny as showers break out this weekend over the UK. Blustery by next week for the semis at Wembley.

Quarter Finals of the Euro 2020 football championship up next. Only England remain from the home nations and their game is the last, taking place away on Saturday evening. 

Friday 2nd

St Petersburg, Russia. Looking pleasantly warm, sunny and dry for Switzerland v. Spain 5pm. 

Munich, Germany as Belgium play Italy at 8pm. Drying up after rain on Thursday.

Watching at home - A fine warm Friday evening for SE England including London with temperatures in the afternoon into the mid 20sC with hardly any breeze. There will be some sharp showers over northern England and the north Midlands later on Friday. Showery rain also appearing from the SW for Cornwall and Devon for those hoping to watch the matches outside but fine for many other areas.

Saturday 3rd

Baku  Fine weather as Czech Republic play Denmark in Azerbaijan at  5pm

Rome   Hot for Ukraine v. England at 8pm. The usual Italian summer heat in Rome with temperatures staying in the low to mid 30sC by day. These do tail off into the high 20sC by the evening.

Watching at home - There will be some hefty showers about on Saturday afternoon with a scattering lasting into the evening. Lots of fair gaps in between with light winds across Britain.

Then a rest. No play at Wimbledon for the middle Sunday either.

Tuesday 6th and Weds 7th for the Semi-finals at Wembley. Both days look fair with a small chance of a shower. Blustery though with brisk SW winds and temperatures around 19C for the 8pm kick-offs.
