Next Generation chart viewer Beta - Helpfile

This new chart viewer system is still in its beta stages, please do report any bugs or give any feedback you have to us. This new viewer has a number of new features, which are detailed below:

Multiple chart display
One of the main features of this new viewer is that you can now view different chart types alongside eachother to compare them. Upto 4 charts can be shown at any one time and these will resize so that they fit correctly onto the width of your screen. Just select the chart type(s) you wish to view from the drop down menus.

Viewing the previous run
You can now view charts from the previous run alongside the current run - the system will automatically match the times so that you are viewing the same on each chart. Just click the prev button next to the drop down menu for the chart you wish to view from the previous run. Clicking curr brings it back to the current run.

Image time buttons
There are now 3 options for moving between forecast times. The first one is the method used on the old style chart viewer - buttons, selecting these enables you to click the time you wish to view in order to view it. Clicking Enable rollover saves you from having to click, just moving your mouse over the top of a button will load the chart for the relevant time, clicking Disable rollover will switch this option off. If you would rather save space on the screen and just use one of the other methods for moving between image times, you can click the Hide buttons option.

Slider
The slider can also be used to move between image times, dragging it along the bar will change the time (this is displayed to the right of the bar), once you release the mouse it will display the image for the time you have selected. You can also use the arrow buttons at either end of the slider to move change the image time incramentally.

Remote Control
This option is particularly useful if you are viewing multiple images, clicking the Show remote button will display a small box with arrows to incramentally chage image times, plus also an animate button. This small box can be dragged anywhere on the screen by clicking and holding the left mouse button over the top of it.

Favourites
With such a large selection of chart types available it is sometimes hard to find a particular chart. The favourites option enables you to select upto 10 of your most regularly used charts and move them to the top of the drop down menus. Clicking the favourites button will bring up a box with 10 drop downs within it, select the chart types you would like stored as your favourites and click the submit button.

Save image
The save image button is very useful if you like to save images on your hard-disk for personal reference or perhaps for sharing on the forum etc. If you have 2 or more charts being displayed that you would like to save as one image, simply click the save image button, it will merge the charts into one image and open up a new window with the new image within it. Just right click that image to save it as usual.

Animation The animation option works as before, click animate to start an animation, the small slider bar controls the speed of the animation (scrolling it right makes the animation faster).

We will be continuing to develop this system while it is in beta, so please do let us know any feedback that you have. Once out of beta, a guide to the various chart types will also be made available as part of the viewer.
