Last weekend was cold, there was snow in places and going in and out of the shops was hard work. Whipping off hats and gloves and cosy coats to shop indoors and then putting it all back on again to march on to the next store, or just carrying all your outdoor clothing around a shopping centre, it's not ideal. Some roads in northern Scotland were actually closed for a time due to snow on the way into Aberdeen.

No problems with snow this coming weekend (Nov 27-29th),maybe a few sleet showers for Glasgow or Manchester but not amounting to anything. Only lying snow for NW Highlands

This weekend looks like turning chilly and very windy

A band of rain will sweep across the UK on Friday, a cold front and it's behind that when temperatures will tumble. So for any 'after work on Friday' attempts, it will

be feeling chilly in the car park or waiting for the bus home.

Early Saturday it will be cold and there could be problems with ice first thing. It could start off dry and sunny for eastern Britain but the blustery winds will bringing lots of showers. So the day becomes wet and windy, it will feel very cold. 5 to 9C

London - Feeling like -1C in the morning but sunny, milder at 8C in the afternoon but with a cold wind.
Manchester - A cold start with blustery showers, some dry spells but always nippy in the wind. Feeling like 3C
Glasgow  - Cold and damp all day with blustery showers, strong winds and feeling barely above freezing
Norwich - Feeling like -2C in the morning but sunny, milder at 7C in the afternoon but still feeling cold in the wind

Saturday evening looks drier for most but cold and potentially still windy. Although still wet for southern England.

Belfast - A few blustery showers, feeling barely above freezing with clear skies and strong winds

Sunday becomes very winyd with gusts over 60mph and strong West winds. There could be some wintry showers from the NW. it shouldn't feel as cold as on Saturday with temperatures into double figures but still a keen wind. 8 to 12C. Rain showers will pester western areas and there will be pulses of rain feeding in, which could bring wet spells, although there is low confidence currently about the path of these bands..

Cardiff - Milder,  windy, bright skies and feeling like 8C
