On the 28th anniversary of the 'Great Storm of '87' it's much more settled than it was then, even the nagging north easterly wind will fade over the weekend.  By the middle of next week the jet stream heads our way signalling a brief period of wetter and windier weather for the UK before retreating back to the north again.

Michael recorded a podcast on the 20th anniversary of the great storm, telling the true story of 'that' forecast in his own words, which you can listen to here.
