Tour de Yorkshire starts on Friday and lasts until Sunday. Weather doesn't look too bad but will be cool for spectators and some stiff winds for the cyclists.
Tour de Yokshire
May 1-3rd 2015
The cyclists will have to take what comes; Friday looks dry but cloudy with a breeze off the sea. Saturday looks okay but windy with rain to start Sunday.
For spectators, the weekend looks okay, often dry but windy and feeling cool. Take your sunscreen though because the sun is still strong at this time of year when it does break through
Stage 1 Friday Bridlington to Scarborough, north-ish but northwest with a coastal return southeast
Looks cool and cloudy as the moderate North wind begins to veer to a Northeasterly more off the North Sea. Later in the day, there should be some sunny spells warming up the spectators after day1
Stage 2 Saturday Selby eastwards and north then southwest to York
After a cold Friday night (touch of frost possible campers), it should be dry and cloudy again with a brisk east wind
Stage 3 Sunday Wakefield west, then north including more rugged terrain before finally turning east to Leeds Overnight rain showers could still be around on Sunday morning for the start of the final stage. The east winds ease off and it will feel warmer in any bright or sunny spells as the weather dries up
