Sunny spells, heavy thundery showers, snow and frost

There's everything but the kitchen sink in this weeks forecast, from heavy, thundery showers through sunny spells, to strong winds and snow. The snow and wintry showers are mainly confined to northern high ground, but are possible to lower levels at times mid week.

There's everything but the kitchen sink in this weeks forecast, from heavy, thundery showers through sunny spells, to strong winds and snow.  The snow and wintry showers are mainly confined to northern high ground, but are possible to lower levels at times mid week.

A Wintry Wednesday Night

Wintry wednesday night

Before then though we have a weather front making it's way slowly south east, followed by some sharp, and at times, thundery showers.  In between the showers there will be some decent Spring sunshine to enjoy, but any clear skies overnight will lead to widespread frosts.

During Wednesday a band of rain approaches from the west, and this will bump up against the colder air, which will turn the showers wintry, especially for northern high ground, but don't be too surprised to see some wintriness to lower levels at times overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Potentially Wet & Windy End To the Working Week

Wet and Windy Friday

Once that rain clears through, there will be a lull before another band of rain heads in from the Atlantic - this time with some strong winds and possible gales for northern areas during Friday.
