With our recent resident high pressure moving away, more changeable weather returns with some rain at times in all parts during the coming days.
The high pressure which has bought so much gloomy, quiet weather has now moved away and will been replaced by a more changeable spell of weather during the coming few days, with low pressure on the scene today and to start the weekend in the south.
Sunday does bring a mostly dry day for the majority, with some sunny spells but cloud will thicken from the west as the day draws on, with rain eventually arriving across Ireland and into western Scotland during the evening, before all of that moves east to affect the rest of the UK overnight and into Monday.
The remainder of the week sees something of a two-way split setting up for a time - high pressure to the south keeps things settled at least for a few days, but further north with a strong southwest flow, expect some rain at times, accompanied by blustery winds as well.
