Having retired from the BBC in 2004, Michael Fish (MBE) has been presenting his weekly forecast on Netweather since 2010.

Michael is 75 years old and was born in Eastbourne on 27th April 1944. He joined the Met Office in November 1962 - just before the start of the infamous, cold winter of 1962/1963. In 1972 he started his broadcast career at the BBC, starting on radio before moving to TV in 1974, where he stayed until retiring in 2004.
In June 2004 he was made an MBE in the Queens birthday honours. That added to his other awards - In December 1996, Michael was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by The City University and in August 1997, he was granted the Freedom of the City of London. In July 2005 he was awarded a Doctor of Science from Exeter University.
