The heaviest dew for ages this morning and it turned into frost on the grass in a min of 1c. The dew began to form at dusk yesterday and must have continued all night, along with the fog it looked like there had been rain!!

The thermometer recorded -1c somewhen :D

No sign though of even any dew on cars or grass which is very unusual :D

The main cause must be cloud cover which is widespread.

Hi folks

I posted this in another area this morning. Hope it may explain things.

'remember that the lowest temp often occurs, winter and summmer AFTER the sun has poked its head over the horizon, sunrise, well here at any rate, is not until 0757am.

A similar thing occurs with the max temp, usually after the sun has reached its maximum height in the sky'.

Really cold here in Bournemouth, there is frost on everything right down to the coast, and the roads and pavements are rather slippery in places :)

WeatherOnline says Bournemouth got down to -5ºc :D

Also, the Wait button at the traffic lights have frozen up <_<

First frost of the year where I have been up in the morning (which I do everyday, before you ask :D <_< ), where there is a white residue left.

Not particularly wide spread, but, the first none the less.
