the problem with the euro cams is knowing which ones to view and are they clear... we need to know which cameras are at the same longitude as the uk, and whether nlcs will be visible here just because they are there..

What we could do with is to go back through the old posted camera links to make sure they are still valid

And with all of the newer cameras out there....create some kind of interactive page/ mappy thing

I'm getting a headache thinking about it......But it would be a helpful project for some of our more tech savvy younger members. What do you reckon Bob?

I'm back here for another season with hopefully some delightful NLC displays.

MAARSY echoes beginning to flash up so indicative of the start of the season.

DAISY charts still show nowt tho.

Aye.

I believe MAARSY was showing echoes on the 14th as well. I'm sure we'll see something flag up on DAISY soon.

I'm in the same yearly boat of understanding, concerning the interpretation of the Maarsy echoes

The list for NLC webcams which has been updated and checked from last season has been realised by the AKM website

Handy because they show the Latitude of the camera

Edit; On the subject of the Maarsy this has appeared on their website

"These results are only informal. Before any other use, their validity must be confirmed by the publisher!"

So careful what you post....ie post the link rather than an individual images

( from experience they can get a bit Aarsy over this subject.)

Think I'll have a go at importing these onto a map since I've got nothing better to do on this Sunday.

Any more webcams would be appreciated but that's the list above 45 N.

I'll post the link and the picture here just to double save myself from the wrath of IAP if they ever find this but some decent blobs appearing on the OSWIN radar. I suspect we might get our first NLC sightings in Europe in the coming days.

One of my favourite cams is Flemsburg on the German/ Denmark border. Northern facing and excellent quality and will slip into the cam gap nicely
