Nice one, it looks like it's coming straight for you!

It's taking a more northerly turn over Lyme Park and towards Glossop/E.Manchester for now, but i've still seen one strike 1/2 mile away with plenty of nearby thunder 'booms' being heard.

I won't be chasing. They are moving too fast and I am too busy watching this approach from my bedroom window

just had our first official rumble of thunder in 2 years

was a very short lived thundery shower that just passed over, nothing spectacular, but hey it still counts. I will take it.

I think this is the first time I've seen you mildly happy,  hopefully this is the start of some luck for you.

Somehow I've ended up with a decent really heavy shower out of this, you can see it darkening the sky on the photos and the time-lapse as the rain began to fall from it.

That was more structure than I expected today, neat little bit as the downpour nears.

Just had a few benign showers with good structure here. No hint of anything thundery from them.

Possibly. It only produced a bit of drizzle and an F4 tornado when it came over.

Must have been one of those we had at 2.30pm and 4.30pm yesterday in Crewe.

Had about 3 hours of overhead lightning last night. Really vivid bright blue lightning. Was amazing.

Now got this beast dropping positive strikes, absolute heaven.
