Storm arriving in Reigate. It seems fairly active, too.

First couple of rumbles heard in Dorking and rain has started. I was watching tv with my headphones on so not sure if there was anything earlier.

Not much earlier about 5ish minutes ago

Well lightning did strike twice here!

Very different from Sunday's storm. Sunday had far fewer strikes, but when they came they were huge. This evening, strikes much more frequent, but seemed elevated with not too much thunder.

Looking to the South of me and there seems to be a wall cloud, lightning already seen and a low rumble of thunder.

Pretty sure I'm seeing a mishmash of the current Farnborough cell to my northwest and the smaller subcell that's around southwest of me

Up on Gravelly Hill view point on North Downs near Caterham looking south, seeing CGs now in distance and low  grumbling thunder.

It's popping off round here. Getting more and more frequent and it's about 3.5km from me

Well that was rather enjoyable, far less thunder than lightning lightning (which puzzles me), sky still flickering now

Few flashes here and there around here, looking pretty mental near Bognor.

Incoming now,Brighton/Saltdean.Some nice crawlers from an elevated position looking over the water, these every three or four minutes.

Alot of sheet lightning, lacking a proper spectacle perhaps due to the rain curtain ahead of it?

Occasional thunder now,far from severe at this stage.

Haven't seen anything here yet, probably a good couple of hours until anything manages to limp up to Norfolk....

Still seeing almost constant flashes to the east as the two storms I've been watching for a while move away. A great show this evening

Gutted - so much cloud has come over I haven’t seen a single flash yet dreading the gap!!

It has just started raining in Croydon. Flashes of lightning. Distant thunder. Brace yourselves Londoners.

Current rainfall 120mm/h, lots of what I used to call sheet lightning in the old days some crappy thunder sounds, nothing spectacular.

Rainfall seems to be increasing though.
