Yeah, can't ever remember seeing fire along there before.

I don't like this new layout, took me 10 minutes to work out how to post lol.

A few days of dry weather at this time of year and the fires start. Don't remember this happening 10+years ago. Surely this is inconsiderate people nowadays. Take your cig ends and bbq's back home with you ya lazy bas*ards.

Doesn't surprise me as I can smell it here now that I've put something in the bin. This breeze won't help it'll just help it spread unfortunately. Windier still up there.

The view from Wimberry Hill in Glossop. The wind has a keen edge to it

Good day but not as good as yesterday. More cloud about hazier skies and cooler indeed only maxed at 9 degrees and the breeze is taking the edge off things.

Early next week we pull in a very long drawn southerly from the Sahara if this was July or August a scorcher would be on the way. Indeed next weeks synoptics in high summer would bring extreme warmth alas it's only late March and nights will be cold still daytime highs mid teens.

We've had two very similar days here in the S of the region, with blue skies and wall-to-wall sunshine throughout Saturday and today, and a gentle breeze to keep things cool and fresh. Personally, I could do with more of the same - a bit like 2020 but none of the lockdowns

Mrs FLT and I visited Lyon in May 2019. We loved the city but not the dust which caused us both to suddenly retch and cough on a walk, and then drove us indoors for a time.

Been lovely hasn’t it. If only we could avoid the oppressive high 20s and intense sun of June-August.

Other than some high level cloud at times, it’s been another lovely day here although still pretty cool in the shade.

Hopefully several more similar days to follow although I wouldn’t mind another couple of degrees on the temperature.

Twice a year it happens, on or very close to the equinoxes, the sun sets between two trees on the Moss behind me.

Looks stunning.

the nearest we can get to that here is a couple of days in April when the sun rises immediately behind one of the Reaps Moss wind turbines causing a noticeable flicker in the house although it needs to fall at weekend otherwise I miss it anyway.

first time I saw it I wondered what the hell was happening; it looked like someone had left a massive indicator switched on.

A decent rest of month looking likely but make the most of it as the start of April could possibly be a stark contrast and much more unsettled and chillier. Some similarities with 2012. Hopefully we won't have the poor summer that followed!

A mostly sunny, cold and frosty start.  Low of 0.4C.

Recently moved house and accidentally left my weather station's sensor in the garden. Gutted! So unsure how cold it was this morning.

Sun has just gone behind the clouds for the first time in days. What an exceptional March spell of sunshine this is turning out to be, I absolutely love it and it's the best possible way to come out of a super poor winter. We haven't had any of those cold, cloudless days and harsh sub-zero nights this winter.

Looks like the end of the sunny spell is coming early next week, and I am really hoping that the cold spell modelled for the beginning of April absolutely does not materialise, it's just pointless.

Could get close to 19 or even 20C tomorrow, let's see!

Plenty to look forward to this week as @Backtrack has said above 19 or 20c quite possible this week unfortunately it looks like a breakdown early next week with temperatures plummeting down to a high of 6 or 7c the last thing we need is a cold snap not uncommon for the beginning of April but certainly not welcome.

Sorry this is just vile for the end of March end of January a different matter fortunately just outside the reliable but a cold snap is unfortunately gaining traction this morning.
