sensors for extreme cold?

I didn't get the HOBO modified or in use before winter set in.  As posted earlier our temperatures here are colder than most sensors specified operating range.  Of particular interest to me is to acquire a temperature sensor that will not only operate at colder than -40C, but have both 0.1 C degree precision while maintaining accuracy to -45C.  While I'd like to keep costs down I realize that the cost will be significantly more than a typical weather station sensor.

I'll also be looking at other sensors for wind, pressure, and more, and I'd like to have the station battery (solar/micro wind charger) powered.

The HOBO fit will take some time.  Maybe before next winter parts of it will be working.

It was originally only a weather logger.  I'd like to keep the logging function and add APRS radio capability.

Anyone here doing that?
