Hi all

I should be on this list from years ago? Chance of snow in the frozen north on Sunday?

John

I wonder if some of us might see some snow this week? Not quite the winter we were hoping for in the end sadly

Everytime I come onto Netweather I see the SACRA thread at the top and it makes me disappointed with our snowlessness.

I’m in two minds about snow this late in the game, I want to get some bits done in the garden but the coldie in me would love a bit of snow this week ❄️

Finally saw some snow falling! Only took until the last day of March

I suppose the positive way to look at it is, in another 4 months we’ll be talking about Synoptics for the coming winter!

As the temps here hit 30 yet again, forecast to do it every day til next week and it's only Tuesday now, if ONE MORE PERSON says to me that "with this much hot weather, it's bound to mean a really cold winter..." I am going to get *very* sarcastic at them...

I am getting fed up with all this ongoing warmth, so think now is the time for a ramp. The long term winter charts for CFS certainly wetting the appetite for snow lovers. Only a few on this forum will have memories of 46/47. Certainly not me but do remember 62/63 as something special. For a bit of fun can anyone name the town in the picture below taken in March 1947 when 1.47m of snow was recorded ? Clue and its not in Scotland !
