I want a storm now, anyone willing to pass theirs along to me?

Never mind, distant thunder

Had quite a lively thunderstorm an hour or so ago. Squally heavy rain with occasional quite close discharges.

As a slight aside on tonight’s rain…has anyone noticed issues  with the Home and Dry app on their iPhone? Hasn’t worked properly for about 3 months for me…used to find it quite reliable

People have rain??

What's it like? Do you get wet?

EDIT: I don't want to frighten it off, so I'm whispering. It's raining....

In contrast to last night's rain, it is a lovely autumnal morning here in Westminster today

I am enjoying these blues skies and feeling slightly chilly.

Some extremely heavy rainfall yesterday here, once from a shower at lunchtime and then it went nuts again in the evening. Beautiful sunny morning today, was a bit chilly first thing, though

Perfect early Autumn day out there after yesterday's stormy conditions - had a reason (and enough fuel) to drive over the Surrey Hills earlier and very pleasant it was too - stopped for a coffee at Box Hill, came back to work all smiles and chilled out:)

10mm from last night, better than nothing.

Bright and very breezy all day, necessitating use of long trousers and hoodie whilst gardening.

Couple of cheeky anvils with mammatus slid past to the S around 3.30pm.

I guess that after months of dry, benign weather and umpteen failed severe weather warnings, I've become somewhat 'immunised'!

And you can see why Pete. Yet again your part of Norfolk missed out on yesterday's rainfall. Virtually everywhere else had very usable rain - some a complete soaking (like the Cotswolds where it rained for 6 hours!).

First day I've felt properly chilly all day. It is that time I have to reluctantly accept the warm weather is going away for 6 months. But I do love the autumn colours and crisp air.

1st night in a while, but I feel a little chilly, a glorious day after the heavy showers last night. Looking like an Autumn storm over the weekend, I can't wait for the 1st frost, and the excitement of the snow chase. Can't beat an all nighter.

Lovely day today after last nights wind and rain. Feels like it finally cleared the humidity out of the air and now it’s proper autumn.

Came on to have a little look at the mod thread for some indication of the upcoming weather - we get married a week on Saturday and hoping for a calm, autumnal day. Don’t mind if it’s cloudy, just no wind or rain please! We so nearly chose this coming weekend as the date and now so pleased we didn’t!
