Looks like a decent little storm on the IOW at the moment

Rumbling thunder and a few CGs. Could see clouds moving in opposite directions to the west. Getting quieter now though

I had an intense storm in west wickham about half an hour ago. Lots of thunder. The rain has moved away now but I can still hear thunder.

I've been out in the garden trying to spot some lightning but no luck. Plenty of grumbling thunder. not even a flight from Gatwick could irritate the cell enough to trigger lightning.

Low level winds are west to east under these cells, while the upper progression is north east to south west. I think there may be enough for a feeble funnel cloud but that's a guess.

Real distinct line on the radar edging east...

MetOffice have a Sigmet out that these cells are TOPS FL350+  Stationary and Intensifying.

Hi everyone, I’m in Rickmansworth wondering if it will come this way

Given what I can see coming our way on the rain radar I suggest so. Mate in Cheshunt said it's mental up there

Plenty of scud's from even the smaller storms here and I suspect one or two funnel clouds somewhere at least.

Some storms still going in the distance. Moving away, but the wind is picking up.

About half an hour ago I was heading north back towards south London straight for the more easterly cell and got a huge CG dead ahead with crackling thunder to follow. Epic!

Apparently there's a "storm" behind this mess. Yeah, whatever...
