Torrential rain for the last 4hrs round these parts, standing water on the roads makes for an interesting drive home!

very torrential downpour in Congleton as I type, no thunder though but good feeling it will electrify as it moves north east from us, few more cells developing in wales too

Still hoping something comes from this, surprised that its electrified a bit though, not much but when it comes up from the radar certainly seems noisy for some areas

2 flashes and rumbles now, but rain has moved on...definitely intensifying as moves north east...could be a very good night for Lincolnshire and Yorkshire

Hope so, still looks fairly quiet at times on the radar unless of course it's mostly elevated

Two very bright consecutive flashes, and a decent rumble.  Another rumble as I type.  Had no rain here at all yet, and another rumble, oh it's flashing twice again,  looks like it's pepping up to my south.

Might have to check the skies when that band of rain gets closer

Three more flashes and a rumble since last post.  Strikes showed on blitzortung at the time.  Seems to have all gone quiet now.  Have rain but not torrential, enough though to put next door but ones fire pit out. LOL

All of a sudden the lightning has become very frequent. Faint rumbles though

Who would of thought that a storm would still be going at this time of the night in a non plume scenario.
