Convection is very sloppy here, cluster storms, not living long, heavy showers.

Second bout of heavy rain unfortunately no T&L maybe a better chance tomorrow and Saturday though looks as though the action if any will be Northern England Scotland and Northern Ireland can only hope something happens here.

Nothing happening. Oh well, you can’t win them all. Instability looks quite weak tomorrow not sure what to think of it.

Got a warning for storms however looking at convective  weather chances seem poor so not expecting anything here. I'm going for the area of M4 corridor due to higher temperatures.

Low wave trough digs down south of the UK with the Jetstream sinking away south. Weak low pressure over Ireland begins to  sink slowly.

Instability is fairly weak due to low daytime temperatures but fairly wide spread for both today and tomorrow.

Lightning wizard cloud top forecasts favour Scotland and Ireland for storms today. Key places to watch might be the Glasgow to Edinburgh corridor for slow moving heavy downpours.

Tomorrow fax charts suggest an occluded front sweeps across the UK from the west bringing some storm potential in a swathe across England.

i'm finding it hard to believe we'll get any storms today,

latest GFS charts show something about 3pm possibly, but it's lashing it down here now.. perhaps it'll gather enough energy for later in the day..

Getting some good insolation at times now.

that said... there's clearly some convection going on somewhere...

i think this is what has passed over today already, but seems to be growing rather than shrinking. heading towards the pennines and getting pushed upwards.

It’s a nice fast moving sunshine and shower day so far. I like them.

Someone just turned up the wick on the power shower, resulting in a quick sprint from the potting shed!

It's been sunny for most of the day here, now it's starting to look quite mean to the south-west. Let's see what happens.

Loads of rain this morning and only stopped about an hour ago, yet everywhere looks bone dry now, Sun is really strong (could see the shed roof steaming for about 10mins once the sun came out).  Hoping all that evaporation will be enough to fuel some afternoon/evening storms development here.

Had rain this morning thinking its going to be one of those days. But it brightened up and has been pretty nice with some strong gusts of wind

In a dry slot currently. Getting good insolation.
