Yes risk of a few thunderstorms in the Eastern Scottish borders and may be the north east of England. My eyes are also drawn to North Devon late afternoon where a low level wind convergence takes place. There is a risk of convection occurring here by the looks of it although detail models don't agree. I would struggle to see how deep convection occurs but if it did then the wind parameters might be favourable for a supercell or tornado. At face value looking at all the models you would have to say No way, you are having a laugh, but there is just this niggle that makes you want to double check and keep an eye on the radar. Difficult to assess so very low risk.

Overnight intense little low pressure heads towards the UK bringing some unseasonal gusty winds to parts of the southern UK. Models are still wobbling about the exact track but potentially gusts up to sixty miles an hour might be possible. Equally there may be some thunderstorm risk from even the early morning.

Might get to see some distant night time lightning from this low then.

I might be a bit too far north here in west wales though, even the strong winds are too far to the south so no wind interest either.

Good video on the storms a few days ago. Good action from about 8 mins onwards, might be a wall cloud forming just after 9 mins but can't be sure.

Dangerous driving, constantly looking and talking to the camera, removing his hands from the wheel and directing his camera to the passenger window to view storms.

He needs someone with him to either drive him or film him, hes good but not safe.

Or do as Pecos Hank does, fix the cam onto and just above the radio area to face out of the windscreen.

Love this blokes passion however, and saw a vid of the great storm in the Northwest last year around Blackpool/Morecambe. The idea that a lot of storms form around the Liverpool Bay Area though is out for the jury. I know there’s folk on this forum who would beg to differ! What he really means is that It would be the orographical forcing of Snowdonia/N Wales that generates the lift to form the CB’s, not the Irish Sea itself.

Just received a Met Office thunderstorm warning for this afternoon, confined to the Humber, East Mids and E Anglia.

His video about the crazy storm that moved up from my location to Blackpool last August was very good and  enjoyed watching it the day after especially as it basically reflected everything I was doing in the garden..

rainfall rates does suggest it could get pretty wet

Can even see the cloud from that cell rolling in
