Got thunder from the storm north of me and the one that’s just fired to the west of you.

An amazing storm exploded just to the south of me at about 17:20. Fantastic thunder but the anvil was right over the top of the town. The thunder was way up inside the cloud, continously rumble and crackling away, it was very creepy, but amazing. No rain at all and was very humid. Some very loud, thumping thunder as it was moving east, but it was that strange, crackling thunder that was so good. Got some video, but will have to edit it down a little bit first. Sun trying to come back out now!

Winchseter Cell as seen from Southampton (by Hoglands Park) looking towards St Mary's Stadium and the Itchen. Ignore the squar shape in the cloud its just a reflection of my light in the window.

That cropped up out of nowhere! Quite a few rumbles so far. More in the last ten minutes than 2 hours of Friday evening.

Just sliding by me, unfortunately.

That Southampton cell had an incredibly short life cycle! Hoping that the stuff passing around the Bournemouth area can make it to me!

Although I’ve still not seen a CG in years that’s the most impressive storm in the day I’ve seen in at least 3 or 4years, Lots of low level shear and rotation, whales mouth! That made today much less bad ??

We just need a picture of this storm from the north and the south and we'll have ourselves a 3D model

So anyone on the Isle of wight and Winchester, get your cameras out!
